Fashion Merchandising Students in Taos
OSU students in Design, Housing and Merchandising recently traveled to the Doel Reed Center in Taos for a two week academic credit class, DHM 3423: Editorial Styling for Merchandising. The class, taught by Cosette Joyner Armstrong, Ph.D., Associate Professor, focused on the elements of styling for fashion merchandising. The students were introduced to the arts of on-location scouting, working with natural light, and “roadside” photoshoot management.
The vibrant distinctive colors and unfiltered light found in the Taos landscape afforded the students with the perfect opportunity to express and showcase their creativity.
The OSU Doel Reed Center in Taos offers OSU instructors the opportunity to create unique learning opportunities for their students in a multitude of disciplines. It truly is An Enchanted Place to Learn.
