Local Museum Captures Essence of Taos Community

To truly understand and appreciate the magic of the Taos community, every visitor to the area should visit the Millicent Rogers Museum.

Three diverse cultures- Native American, Hispanic and Anglo-American, have all learned to thrive and prosper in unison without sacrificing their individual identities. Their captivating stories are beautifully preserved and displayed in fifteen different galleries within the museum.

Millicent Rogers was a prolific fashion and jewelry designer and the museum proudly displays many of her creations. However, she was most passionate about her collection of Native American and Hispanic artifacts featuring their clothing, weaving, pottery and jewelry.  All pieces are beautifully displayed and documented for guests of the museum to enjoy.
