An Evening With Jill Momaday
As part of the Jim and Linda Burke Visiting Scholars program the Oklahoma State University Doel Reed Center in Taos will be hosting An Evening With Jill Momaday, Wednesday, May 25, 5:30 to 7:00PM at the Arthur Bell Auditorium, Harwood Museum of Art, Taos, NM. The public is invited to attend.
Weaving story, culture and landscape through filmmaking.
Spend an evening with Jill Momaday screening and discussing her PBS documentary, Return to Rainy Mountain, a visual and poetic journey through storied landscape, Kiowa oral tradition, family and cultural identity. The showing will be followed by a brief reading and Q&A.
Jill Momoday is a mother, actor, writer, and filmmaker whose film, Return to Rainy Mountain (PBS), documents her Kiowa heritage and life in the arts as the daughter of Pulitzer Prize-winning author, N. Scott Momaday.
The Doel Reed Center in Taos’ Visiting Scholars program supports Credit Courses for OSU students studying in Taos. In addition, the visiting scholars are often invited to present to the general public as an educational extension and outreach to the Taos community.
